I cringe when I hear people seriously considering a settle strategy. Its not that I dont understand, because I do. You can only struggle so long before you begin to wonder if youre crazy to keep going. And settling for something that wont ultimately make you happy begins to sound pretty darned attractive.
For best results, the thickness of the towel should be enough so your thumb won't be touching the rest of your fingers while squeezing the towel tight.
All the demons come out. "I've done this before. Why do I have to make myself miserable now?" (The first year it was "I can try this again next year when I'm in better shape and know what to expect.") "Boy that pain in my knee feels bad -- maybe I'm permanently hurting myself. I should stop." "Look at all those other people in the medical aid tent, they've stopped I can stop too." "Why the heck (or something stronger) am I doing this to myself again?"
